We live in a world where many people are afraid of curses. Many believe that curses can be used to manipulate others—to force them to act or respond in a certain way. But you must not be afraid when someone tries to control you through the fear of curses. Instead, learn how to walk in power, righteousness, and victory, standing firm in God’s authority and refusing to be intimidated by threats or intimidation.
I once had a friend who was a freelance Christian. He was very fervent in the things of God but did not belong to any local church. He went out regularly for evangelism and often organized programs to preach the Word of God.
I loved him because he practiced his Christian life openly and confessed the Word boldly. Every time I was around him, I was challenged by his faith. However, he did not belong to any local assembly. He visited any church he felt like attending at any time. You are the blessed of the Lord no man can curse you.

Pastor Toks often says, “God is very strong about the local church.” God wants each of us to belong to a local church and to be submitted to leadership. Yes, there may be things you do not like about a church or a pastor. You may even have been treated wrongly. Yet, God still wants you planted in a local assembly.
One day, while encouraging him to belong to a local church, he became angry. Perhaps he thought I was questioning his salvation. When he finished speaking, I looked at him and said,
“We have the same Father. When you are done, I will go and settle it with Him.”
He was shocked. I immediately noticed a positive change in his countenance. I could have simply walked away, because he had no right to curse me, but I said that to wake him up to a reality—that I knew what he claimed to know.

I know for sure that I am blessed by the Lord, and no one can curse me. If the Israelites in the Old Testament could not be cursed, how much more I who am in Christ Jesus?
Child of God, you are blessed of the Lord. A curse will not work against you if you walk in obedience to Him. So fear no man who threatens you with the words, “I will curse you.”
