I want to share a story about how I discovered Rhema and the benefits I have gained. This write-up may be long, but if you can, please read it to the end. Through this experience, I learned how faith and obedience release God’s miraculous power, showing that applying His Word faithfully opens the door for His promises to manifest in our lives.
In January 2020, I invited a friend to my house. As he was leaving, he told me that he had started Rhema Bible Training Center. I wanted to know more, and he invited me to a taster program, which I attended.
The teaching that day was titled “The Authority of the Believer.” The message was taught by Rev. Toks, and I was greatly blessed. During the message, he said something about what God had shown me sometime in the past—something that seemed unbelievable to me—but I kept it in my heart.
I was so blessed by the teaching that I wanted to learn more. Believers have so much authority, yet we know little or almost nothing about it. This experience helped me understand the power of the Word of God, which is the source of that authority and the key to exercising it effectively in our lives.
In the middle of the message, those attending for the first time were encouraged to become students of the school. I hesitated because I had many things going on in my mind.
I had just moved from a “face-me-I-slap-you” apartment to a two-bedroom flat, and the cost was high for me at the time. Someone might ask why I made such a move—well, that is a story for another day.
The school fee was ₦120,000, and I was wondering how I would pay both my house rent and the school fees within the same year. My friend made a statement he may not even remember. He said that the message taught here would make a lot of difference in my life if I could attend. Those may not have been his exact words, but that was what I heard while thinking about how to meet up with the expenses. This situation reminded me of why God responds more to His Word than our effort—His promises and instructions carry power beyond our own planning or striving, and acting on them brings results that human effort alone cannot achieve.
What I understood from that statement was that my financial life would never remain the same after learning what would be taught in the school.
God used him to encourage me, and I became convinced that my life would never go backward by learning about faith.
If you read the Bible, there are about five places where it says, “The just shall live by faith.” This means the life of a Christian is lived by faith, so you can never learn too much about it.
No person’s life goes backward by learning about faith—if they dare to apply what they have learned. Your spiritual life, financial life, and every other area of your life will change for the better.
So, I made up my mind and got started. That same year, I paid my house rent, paid my school fees, and still made an investment. God is wonderful. Truly, your life will never go backward when you study and apply what you learn at Rhema. This experience also reinforced the principle of say what you want to see—declaring God’s promises and speaking faith-filled words brings them into manifestation in your life.
I know I am not yet where I should be, but I will get to where God wants me to be.
The good news is this: I am better in every ramification since I got into Rhema. I have not had a better yesterday since then.
You too can become a student of Rhema Bible Training Center today.
