The Devil Is Not as Wise as You Think: How What He Fights Always Ends Up Growing.

I have carefully observed how the devil operates, and I have come to realize that he is not as wise as many people think. Yes, the Bible describes him as subtle and crafty, but there are many things he simply does not know, especially when you are walking in your spiritual authority and operating in the power and protection God has given you.

Because of this lack of knowledge, most of the things he tries to stop end up growing bigger and becoming stronger than he can control. This truth encourages me deeply, because it shows that whenever the devil is fighting someone fiercely, God is about to bring something beautiful out of that situation.

Let me share three examples—two from the Bible and one from our present time—where the devil tried to stop a process, but it ended up becoming greater than he could handle.

The devil always stands against whatever God is doing. Once he realizes that God’s hand is upon a person or a people, he begins to fight them. If it were possible, he would kill anyone walking closely with God.

This is exactly what happened with the children of Israel. When the devil noticed God’s interest in them, he influenced the king of Egypt to afflict them with severe labor. His plan was to weaken them and reduce their effectiveness.

But listen to what the Bible says:

Exodus 1:12

“But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew.”

Instead of weakening them, the affliction made them stronger and more numerous. If the devil had known that afflicting Israel would make them grow into the powerful nation they became, he probably would not have tried so hard, reminding us to always do the work God has empowered you to do, trusting that His power will turn challenges into growth and victory.

So, if you are going through affliction right now, rejoice. You will come out stronger, wiser, and more effective. You may even become too strong for the devil to handle.

Perhaps the devil is using someone you never expected to trouble you. Do not be quick to take offense. God may be working something great out of your life through that situation.

Another powerful example is the story of Jesus Christ. When Jesus was born, the devil quickly realized that this child would be a serious threat to his kingdom. From childhood, he tried to destroy Him but failed.

Later, the devil attempted to use religious leaders—the scribes and Pharisees—to stone Jesus to death. When that did not work, he found another strategy: religion itself. He hid behind religion to kill Jesus, yet through it all, we see that you have power over demons when you operate in the authority and authority Christ has given you.

This is why religion without a personal relationship with Christ is dangerous. A religious person without intimacy with God can easily be used by the devil to fight what God is doing.

Through false accusations and religious manipulation, Jesus was eventually crucified. But the devil did not know that through the death of Jesus, God would raise many sons and daughters who would shake his kingdom even more.

He did not know that Jesus would descend into hell and take back what he stole from Adam. He did not know that Jesus would strip him of his power through the cross. He did not know that Jesus’ death would bring freedom to those who had been captive for generations.

By killing Jesus, the devil only made His influence greater and stronger. Sometimes, it seems that enemies are allowed to bring out God’s best in our lives.

The last example is the COVID-19 pandemic.

The devil intended to reduce the world’s population through COVID-19, believing that humanity was becoming too many for him to control. So he introduced a global lockdown.

What happened instead? Many busy men who rarely spent time with their wives were suddenly at home. Couples spent more time together, and we all know what often follows when a husband and wife are together consistently, reminding us to know your kingdom rights and walk in the authority God has given over every area of your life, including your family.

The result was a population boom after COVID-19.

Again, what the devil meant for harm turned into something he could not control.

All these examples have taught me one important lesson: I should not focus on what the devil is doing, but on what God is forming out of my life through those situations.

If the devil is fighting you right now, do not panic. Rejoice. God is working something better for you in the end.

God bless you.
